Description

An Aboriginal Dreamtime legend tells the story of three beautiful giant sisters named Mechni, Wilmah and Gunnedo, who lived with the Katoomba tribe in the Jamison Valley. The sisters were in love with three brothers from the Nepean tribe, but unfortunately marriage between the two tribes was forbidden by tribal law.

A terrible tribal battle began when the three warrior brothers decided to take the maidens by force. To keep the three sisters the witchdoctor of the Katoomba tribe turned them into stone, intending to restore them after the battle had ceased. But he was killed in battle, and to this day the spell remains unbroken.
