Description
At the end of the hot day, the setting sun stage-lights Wangi Falls. One may easily be convinced this is the setting for one of nature’s great operas.
Located near the town of Batchelor, 100 km south-west of Darwin, Wangi Falls is home for some of the Northern Territory’s exquisite wildlife. Corellas come down to drink, monitors meander majestically looking for food, whilst Blue Winged Kookaburras perform lightning dives into the waterhole for small fish, shrimps and frogs. Ferns and mosses abound in the surrounding rock crevices creating hanging gardens and an aura of Utopia.
