Description
Sitting in isolation amid the Mundi Mundi Plains is the Hollow Hotel near Broken Hill. A great backdrop for TV commercials, photographic shots and reflections of the past, this outback edifice proudly squats on the clay pan at Belmont Station, near Silverton. The owner calls it ‘The Old Film Hut on the Mundi Mundi Plain clay pan’.
“I love a sunburnt country/A land of sweeping plains” is from the poem by Isobel Marion Dorothea Mackellar (better known as Dorothea Mackellar) ‘My Country’.
