The Australian team was lead by William Maldon “Bill” Woodfull while the English team was led by Douglas Jardine.

Don Bradman was unavailable for the 1st Test due to an illness.

Australia’s 1st Innings Total of 360 was due to a magnificent Stan McCabe innings of 187 not out.

Harold Larwood’s impressive figures were 5 for 96 in the 1st innings & 5 for 28 in the 2nd.

Match was Drawn.
